Effective Classroom Management

(Two-2 hour sessions or 1/2 day workshop)

Target Audience:

Teachers, Administrators, Education Majors

Goals of the Program

• To empower teachers/prospective teachers to assertively gain and maintain control of the classroom where teachers can teach and students can learn. (c)

• To provide participants with readily usable classroom tools and skills where authority is a given and respect is a two-way street.

Program Process and Content:

Through use of Power-Point presentation, interactive dialogue and role-play, participants will learn the progressive steps for setting up a safe classroom environment.  Verbal and non-verbal communication techniques for interacting with students, parents and administrators will be highlighted.

Participants will leave the session with self-developed rules and consequences for their appropriate grade level.

What experience has shown me:

As an administrator and former mentor teacher to interns and probationary teachers, I noticed a crucial issue right off the bat. Too many neophytes were entering the profession without "basic training" in classroom management. 

Without respectful, assertive control and authority, teaching and learning cannot take place.

This two-2 hour or 1/2 day workshop will provide participants with tools and assertive confidence to face their students on day one!
